Photography Wall Mural

When Wendy Niamath got in touch, the owner of Delicious Photography, the excitement for taking on the project was almost immediate.

Wendy does incredible work photographing people, places and – in this project’s case – pebbles and flowers. Her commission was for a wall mural project, and when asked we graciously accepted.

Using wallpaper as an expressive medium for her artwork, Wendy provided us with three images of her work. The challenge? Installing them in a new condo project on the Eastside of Vancouver.

One short consultation later, we had optimised the images and had come to an agreement on the “crop” for her work. This was subsequently followed by the choice of paper. The naturally-themed images lent themselves to a natural canvas material. Whilst this added texture to the mural, the forms remained incredibly crisp and sheen remained at a minimum.

After creating a sample and carrying out on-site measurements, we had everything in place to begin the final stages of the project. Less than two short weeks later, the wallpaper was ready for installation.

Wendy oversaw the hanging of the wallpaper, ensuring everything was perfect. In under six hours, we completed the installation the canvas image wallpaper and therefore so did the project.

With the number of different challenges that came with this project, it was great to see a such stunning final results in a short period of time. Wendy couldn’t be happier with how the murals ended up.
